HP announced yesterday that it is looking to change their business model for HP-branded cameras. They want to concentrate and realign resources to work on their Print 2.0 initiative that was announced back in May 2007.

Canon EOS-1D Mark III AF: Canon Europe issues statement

Canon Europe today released an official statement on the AF problems experienced by some users of its EOS-1D Mark III DSLR. It seems the sub-mirror assembly is to blame for focus and tracking inaccuracy in AI servo continuous mode particularly when working in high ambient temperatures. Bodies with serial numbers 501001 through 546561 are said to be affected, and Canon are preparing to offer free repairs from late November. Read More

Olympus releases new firmware updates for their E-series digital SLR cameras. Firmware update version 1.5 for models E-1 and E-300 improves focusing accuracy when using the Olympus EC-20 Teleconverter. Firmware version 1.3 will offer the same focusing accuracy improvement for the E-330, E-410 and E-500. Sony unveils 4 GB Cyber-shot T2 album camera
Sony announces the Cyber-shot T2 featuring on-board 4 Gigabyte internal flash memory. This gives you enough space to store 1,250 quality images, at VGA resolution there's even capacity for over 40,000. Images can be viewed on the 2.7-inch touchscreen or the T2 can be connected through an optional HD connection cable to a HD Ready display for Slideshows with musical accompaniment. The Cyber-shot T2 will be available in five colour options, black, blue, green, pink, and white from the beginning of November...
